    Lawrence, Kansas is actually a very nice place...if I really didn't have anyone to be obligated to where I am now...I would possibly move there.

    iirc that town has made onto well known lists of "best places in the US to live" over the last 10 years so potentially it's costs might be rising a lot. but I'm just guessing.

    Wow, very interesting, just cause when I was visiting(camping), no one really fucked with each other. Prices were reasonable...& no experienced hostility. :emoji_shrug:

    here is 1 of the hardest parts about moving to a place I've never been - how do I know if the apt. complex is good or bad? I can't tell the difference between a great deal and a diseased heroin plex.

    once i hid in the kitchen while someone was at my front door, and as they were walking through my driveway to knock on the back door (which, first of all, who does that?), i looked out of my kitchen window and they looked into my kitchen window and we definitely made eye contact and i dropped to the floor to continue hiding.

    tldr don't move, sit as still as possible as if they're a predator. they can smell your fear.
