I was in China a few years ago and a lot of my party were not particularly adventurous, food-wise. We were at a dinner in Shanghai and various Chinese national dishes were being presented, and several of my colleagues kept passing, preferring to stay with the safety net of rice.

Finally, they told us chicken was up next. Everyone who'd been subsisting on rice perked up. Chicken, that's good, no problem, yum! It came out, beautifully cooked, sliced, golden brown, looked delicious.

The head was also on the platter. That's a traditional presentation in China.

It made its way around the table, and one by one all the cautious eaters turned green and went back to their bowls of rice.

Canned biscuits have their place. I have an awesome home made biscuit recipe that I make often, but there are moments I need canned biscuits or crescents. Like when making Pigs in a Blanket. I'm not wasting my time making home made dough just to wrap it around a hot dog!
