    The dealership offered me a loan at 9.19% and my credit union gave me one at 5.29%. Doesn't hurt to shop around a bit, if you can afford the time without wheels.

    Sometimes it's good to shop around for a loan. You can. I had a loan check in hand. When I decilned the finance guy's offer and showed them the loan check, they changed their tune immediately and offered me a lower rate and some additional car perks.

    That's all well and good but gotta be careful when applying for a mortgage. The bank wants to see your recent bank statements and mine asked me about the "weekly deposits from Amazon". Luckily I explained in a roundabout way to my broker and he fielded the info to the bank and they didn't ask me further about it. But it can get tricky for some people. :(

    I havent bought a car in a really long time, but from what my buddy said, you initially go through the dealer financing(ford, hyandai, kia, Honda, etc) so you get the cash back discounts at the expense of rate. A couple months later you refi with a bank/credit union and you will usually get a MUCH better rate. It's kinda all about how you want to save money.

    What they are looking for is either:

    1) undisclosed business which means you would have to supply tax returns(but typically for mtg's, you do that already) so they make sure to capture any losses that you may not have disclosed.

    2) make sure the funds arent a loan of sorts. If you are making Buku amazon bucks and depositing 2k every 2 weeks, it could be interpreted as a loan. Some underwriters can be way overly cautious and have to just ask questions about anything we can't readily explain.

    I deposit 500 bucks every two weeks when we get paid by my actual job. My way of layering back into the system without drawing any unnecessary red flags.

    Yeah, that's not a bad way to do it, and might even help your score a bit.

    I only went with my credit union because the car was expensive and I honestly didn't think they'd approve me for it.

    So I wake up today my kid rushing out the door (and slamming it) and see a playtestcloud test. I get excited and do the game (it was boring but for $9 for 15 minutes I was like what the heck). Then I couldn't upload it (which normally means no payment)! I tried for 15 minutes to do it, thinking it was my new phone. I write playtest cloud to see how to prevent this in the future. I expected nothing..but this is what happens..
