It's not a super expensive computer. It's his first gaming computer that he wanted and had to buy himself when he was 12 years old. I refused to buy him a gaming computer because he had a perfectly good one for schooling. He came up with the $550 on his own to buy the "starter" computer. So far it's doing what he wants it to do. And he's richer now than he was at 12 years old so he can afford to replace a fan or even buy a better computer, lol.

Those are extremely common and cheap. Nothing special about them so you can buy a replacement off amazon for $5. Just make sure you get the same size off amazon and it will be fine.

LOL. I wish. She can't handle my ridiculous sense of humor. When I play jokes on her, I have to choose the right day, time, lunar cycle, and listen to her day to make sure it was a good day, before I attempt any sort of humor.

 

Sounds like the lube on the fan bearing is going . Honestly if you don't have some gun lube or sewing lube around it's cheaper and easier to just grab a new fan 2 for 20. Husband just had to replace case fans and we fixed his and now just have a running spare.

Of course he does. When you're 12 that's the bomb! Only one side is glass. The side that comes off. And part of the roof. And there is a button to change the colors of the LEDs that aren't on the fans. I refuse to allow him to keep it on what I call "rave mode" because the lights flash and change and drive me nuts.
