    If you are talking about the notuca fans I linked they are high end fans that would be silly to put into an old $500 computer. Just get generic $10 or so ones for him if he needs any.

    How old is the computer anyways? If the computer hasn't ever been dusted out ect it wouldn't surprise me to see a cheap fan start to die after 2 or 3 years of that.

    Yeah, we'll just get cheap ones that have the word "quiet" in the description and that's backed up by user comments.

    He got nicer gaming headphones for Christmas and now I can't hear a peep from the games, whereas I could before. Of course, he cannot hear anything outside of the game, so I often scare the shit out of him when I tap him on the back to get his attention as he didn't hear me coming up on him.

    I should mention his desk thus all his gaming is in our living room. I wasn't keen on my young kid gaming alone in his bedroom when he first started gaming.
