Thiiiiiiiiiiiiis. Kiddo begged me to get him lunchables like last year or something cuz all the kids at school ate them and omg they must be amazing. So I did, just to try them, because we make home cooked meals all the time, since he was a baby, he never got any lazy foods growing up, like McDonald's Happy Meals, or frozen chicken nuggets/fish sticks, or lunchables. He said they were okay, but not enough. He never asked me for them again. He also drinks water like a champ and never asks for soda. It's all in the parenting. :emoji_nerd:

Never had one with a kit kat. Besides, Kit Kats are kinda meh. How many people do you know who say "yeah, Kit Kat is my favorite candy bar"

I was wondering why anyone wouldn't be allowed to make a sandwich, then I saw the butterknife part. I bought wooden spreaders like you put out with cheese so my 3 year old could make sandwiches. That way when the kid is 17 they know how to do something for him/her self. But then again I'd be more likely to let my kid make a sandwich with a steak knife than eat a lunchable.

I'm just happy anyone even understood it. I imagine that advertisement slogan thingy has been discontinued for 20 years or something.

Basically this. I know so many parents who won't even let their kids use a plastic knife.

Wait, butter knifes aren't kid safe now? I was allowed to use "real" knives as early as 8, then again I also remember slicing off a fat chunk of skin from my thumb while using a real knife around that age.

lol, my 8 year olds used knives under supervision and at the table. At 3 we went with safety. My 11 year old cooks dinner twice a week now and bakes as well. There is teaching safety and then there is doing everything to keep your kid safe which results in a helpless adult.

My mom couldn't even be bothered to cook dinner herself 5/7 nights of the week, so learning to cook actual food wasn't really a thing in our house.
