They still sell this stuff which is a tad more mild than Freedent Wintergreen Gum, blatantly marketed to elementary school boys so they can 'hawken' just like their dads.

I honestly thought it would be outlawed in the '80s along with candy cigarettes and the wax, kool-aid filled pistols. And caps. And Jarts.

 

Huh, I'm kind of sad that Amazon is 'deprecating' the weekly worker report. I don't always Turk, but when I do Turk in earnest, I enjoy the feedback.

 

They supply an email to give feedback on the change, I suggest using it because I still haven't heard a proper justification for calling the weekly report "useless."

 

Well, they got a lot of feedback about how bothersome it was to get those emails. A huge campaign, millions strong, dropping a line to Jeff Bezos at Amazon Headquarters, 1 Amazon Plaza, Cambridge Massachusetts, just to let him know that the emails were irksome.

So it's for our own good. Amazon mTurk, responding to our needs and desires, fulfilling our requests.

Now, it doesn't matter that I've personally dropped more Master Requests on Amazon than they've ever heard about the Weekly Feedback Report, but just remember:

It's for our own good.

Because we asked that it end.

 

Send an email to [email protected] telling them to not remove it.

I haven't followed the discussion, but is the reason people care because the email is from Amazon themselves? All the info is sitting on the dashboard, I don't totally get the point in the email to begin with lol.

It is more official than pulling it from your dashboard and the dashboard isn't even the same info as it is what approved within that week ect.

 

it's nice to have an official "paystub" of sorts.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if I'm the reason people complained and it is getting removed.... but it is a dumb change and amazon is dumb if they think that the tiny % of QQing emails they get or see makes up what the majority people think.

 

It's more straight forward. Having an email sent once a week telling you "you've done this much work this week" is less complicated than manually adding things up from your dashboard and putting it into a Google spreadsheet.

 

I posted a troll Weekly like a year ago and got my post edited, then a talking-to about how my shenanigans caused TV some shenanigans, and I haven't posted it since.

Also, I heard that boots respond best to a lick-shine, anyone care to confirm for me I only have tenny-boppers right now.

 

You posted a troll export to HERE and that fucked up with CT's data.

That isn't the same thing at all.

 

Also, earnings on your dashboard disappear after 45 days vs sitting in your email forever because you have to be a fool to delete your "paystubs"

 

I did send them a reply requesting that they continue to send the weekly reports. It's perplexing though. Are there really a lot of Mturk workers out there telling Amazon that the weekly report is 'unhelpful'? And for what reason, if you don't like it, just delete it, or direct it to your spam folder. Is this the thing that Mturk support is really focusing their attention on? Complaints about the weekly worker email. Sighs

 

People might just be butt hurt that they can't make more than $10/year and people post decent weekly earnings ect.
