    Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a flavor enhancer commonly added to Chinese food, canned vegetables, soups and processed meats. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified MSGas a food ingredient that's "generally recognized as safe," but its use remains controversial.

    Just to see the true trickiness behind the chemical. MSG is pretty much a drug that tricks your Brian into thinking something tastes really good. I just thought it would be interesting to see if you took something so vile in flavor in its natural state and add some MSG to it....... Had to of been done, right? I'll google!

    I know there is a number of youtube videos doing taste tests of MSG, where they make some type of food and have one with MSG and one without. But its always foods that taste good to the participant to begin with. I'm such a robot.

    Not the Chineese foods I like> Although I made a veggie chow mein and decided to try out fish sauce. It was probably me just knowing it was fish sauce, but in any case I added the fish sauce and didn't like it after I added it. I'm sure most of the Chinese dishes I get from Chinese joints typically use fish sauce and I eat it up all day. (but they also typically add msg hmm)

    Yesterday I cooked french toast and watching the egg white globuals slink off the bread pieces grossed me out. I ended up not eating the french toast after that although I was assured it was delicous.

    Veganism, I'm coming soon
