Delete if you must, I don't really care. I just found it really dumb. And if it is German, what if you're a German expat taking this survey? You'd just call it chocolate cake, right?

Too late. I already submitted my report. You should have a representative at your home within 3-5 business days.

Probably not because it called that because of the type of chocolate used. I don't actually think it has anything to do with the country.

    I was curious....

    Origin of German Chocolate Cake

The name comes from Sam German — who was either an American or an Englishman, depending on what you read. In 1852, he invented a style of sweet baking chocolate for the Baker's chocolate company. The company named it after him, but "German's Chocolate" didn't become well-known until 1957.Jun 23, 2007

Sounds like German Chocolate cake is as American as apple pie....Or as pie as american? Wait...

Sounds like German Chocolate cake is as German as Applie Pie is American (which it technically isnt) PHEWWW there it is. The Irony. Next thing you're going to tell me is that America was never independent from British Rule and we all technically still pay taxes to the Crown Corporation.

The first written apple pie recipe goes back to 1381 in b) England; it was printed by Geoffrey Chaucer and included apples, figs, raisins, pears and a pastry shell (but no sugar). Evidence of Dutch apple pies goes back to the 1600s.Jul 5, 2012

My LIfE is a lie! Not really, just the constructs surrounding it. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MESS?!
