Hey guys! First time posting here, but I've been working for a lab that has published a couple of HITs on Amazon Turk in the past. I was wondering if people are using bots/scripts to accept HITs (not necessarily take the experiment). For context, we published some HITs awhile ago, and once Amazon Turk said the HITs were online, all the HITs' statuses became "Unassignable" in under 10 seconds.

There are userscripts that help workers to gather HITs to work on though it is a TOS violation to use a HIT to complete a HIT or take a given experiment.

 

I could not tell the difference between the blue and green. But maybe it's just me?

 

Most hits that appear to be worth completing are going to be accepted by workers within 10-15 seconds.

This. Plus, depending on time of day and how many you loaded, there's a lot of workers going for limited hits, so they tend to go fast.

question about the turkerview script. when it displays the 'average' time for a task completion [of the same title] is it an actual average of all times reported, or only the average of the longest+the shortest times reported?

to clarify, It's a TOS violation to use BOTs to DO the HITs. It is however NOT a TOS violation to accept a HIT using a script.
