Yep, we had a pet pig for years and It was smarter/cleaner than our dogs, lol. Plus, the pig would go outside behind a tree because she refused to use the bathroom in front of others. They are incredibly intelligent...surpsingly so sometimes.

As an avid puppy bowl watcher, I can tell you that ref makes better calls than the NFL.

    Do they smell weird?

Pig farms are nothing short of disgusting, I had no idea people seriously kept them as pets outside TV shows about the teeny ones

Nope. They have hair instead of fur and they don't sweat/get fleas. Give them a nice bath with some safe shampoo and they are good to go. They WILL roll in mud if you let them...but ours loved the AC and hated dirt so we never had that issue.

Most commercially raised meat animals are disgusting. Hell, even the cows my school raised were gross. I still pet one though because it was just kinda there hanging out near the fence. She felt exactly what you'd expect a cow to feel like, by the way.

Speaking of pig farms.... Did any of you ever do the study where you listened to classical music while you watched how they dealt with baby pigs? Scarred me for life.

Funny story since we're talking about pigs and a note on just how smart they are:

Ours watched how we opened the fridge and noticed we kept all of her veggies in the bottom drawer. She learned to use her snout to open the door, pull open the bottom drawer and (no pun intended) proceeded to pig out on her veggies.

She even closed the drawer/fridge door back so we didn't notice until...well, we saw pieces of carrots/celery on the floor lol.
