02/07 - Warped Wednesday or Thursday!

Yep, too many feral cats everywhere.

That's why I get my cats from the shelter. Or from my garage where they trap themselves. Or in the case of my soul mate kitty, on the sidewalk where his mama forgot him when she was moving him. His eyes weren't even open yet he was so young and the vet thought he would die but he didn't. I saved him through sheer force of will and determination.

That cat died 11 years ago now and I still miss him every single day.

 

He's a huge crybaby and was gone for only like 10 minutes so I wasn't worried. Nope, not at all. More miffed because the grass was wet, though it didn't hurt that much when I slipped.

 

Awwww.... That bites. Yeah we have a lot of cats over here, because the neighbors keep feeding them.

 

My other cat is currently being an ash hole. I have MA chair. It's a big chair. Plenty of room for me and my adult daughter to sit side by side. So plenty of room for me and my 6.5 lb cat.
But nooooooo

She's currently sprawled out on it in a manner that leaves me like 3" to perch delicately as I'm typing this.

 

Same neighbor who feeds ours also complains about my dog because he doesn't want my dog chasing "his" cats. Keep your cats indoors and you won't have to worry about them being hurt by dogs who are a lot less friendly than mine.

 

I will admit we have a bunch of cat feeders in my hood.

But, some of us also "sponsor" a cat and get it fixed and get it shots. Then if that cat stays around no other new cats move in to the hood, so we can control the ebb and flow of cats around here.

We're all cat lovers. All have our own cats and all sponsor, in some form, some outdoor cats.

 

My cat that has to be outside has learned to avoid dogs.

Because my theory is, "your ungrateful ash doesn't want to stay inside my awesome house? Learn to climb those trees really damn fast or get on that roof asap. I'm not saving you from a dog. Or raccoon. Or possum. Or owl. Fend for yourself, kitty!"

 

Your dog must be a big brute like mine is. If she gets an urge to go after something I just drop the leash rather than get dragged along. She's not mean, just enthusiastic. Last time I 'lost' her I circled the block 3 times looking for her and then went home to find her sitting by the back gate waiting to be let into the yard.

 

I don't mind cats, at all. But a lot of these people don't do anything else besides feed them, end result. One cat had 3 babies on our neighbors foot steps. Luckily the neighbor took them, though, but still....

 

I've seen my dog run, he's surprisingly fast, but his chunky butt is never going to catch a cat. Or a rabbit. Or a deer. Doesn't stop him trying to ruin my shoulder, though. There's always a ton of stray cats around here, and none of them are fixed or have any shots, which is the main thing I don't get about people who claim ownership to outdoor cats.

I can usually hang on to him, but the grass was wet and slippery and I usually check for cats or deer or bunnies hanging out before I even open the door. Just didn't see this one. The deer usually know to stand still so his not very bright butt can't see them.

 

This feels like a chance for more pupper photos. With or without cute sweaters.

 

Why for my next dog I want something smaller. I don't have the shoulder strength to be able to handle a bigger dog if something were to happen.

About removing TV reviews.

I think Chris told me before that I just had to reset ratings. I did that but doesn't seem to work. I guess the ability to do so was removed.

I derped and submitted a review with the wrong time. Got logged out and went back to submit my HIT. So the completion time is A LOT faster than it should be.
