You do if you paid taxes and your tax liability was less than what you paid. I was working a "normal" job for 7 months of the year.

 

Self employment taxes suck

I overpaid this year, so will hopefully be getting a refund. I made quite a bit more money in 2017, so my quarterly payments in 2018 were too high. Even considering a refund - I still paid a shitload
