    It's okay because you have access to WIC! I'm honestly ashamed that I heard this used as an actual justification for having another baby from a couple that knew damn well they could barely even afford the one they had.

    @ChrisTurk did they give you an option for NIPT? That would be way more cost effective. But, obviously, that is not the best indicator as that's what I had done and they diagnosed Edwards syndrome. :emoji_confused:

    However, from what I understand, it's better these days.

    The worst I have heard was from a couple who has SIX kids. Only one of them works (obviously) and he works at Pizza Hut as a delivery driver. Now I don't judge and I understand people fall on hard times.

    But one day he literally told me "Having kids is great, you get WIC, SNAP, and a ton of money back at the end of the year. In a way having kids is a business"

    We aren't friends anymore.
