I don't know if we've talked about this, but:

If you are at risk of something, your insurance should kick you over to Genetic Counseling. We had kids >32yo so that's an automatic Counseling appointment for us, which explains that having kids when you're old = higher risk of stuff like Down's Syndrome (and indeed we lost a pregnancy/child to this).

I have Jewish friends who had Tay-Sachs testing covered under insurance, they also had other tests which I don't know, this was just droning at the office for a couple of weeks as both worked there.

So.... it's possible to cover it? But I know you've had health challenges so I don't know how much your giant insurance company wishes you to pass on from their troubles or not.... sadly my joke is all too real so sorry but I'll leave it...

A full-on genetic sequencing is less than $1k though, and then you can plug that in, seems odd they've got that jacked up. And not 23&me genotyping.... full on DNA sequencing which is all the bits.

 

I'm using almost 8GB without even doing anything... Only 3 tabs of chrome open...

 

Act-tually.... not really. Just when the phone picks up, unleash a torrent of profanity then hang up. And if it doesn't go auto VM, then I know my phone works....

 

I use 8GB and run into troubles, and it's why I don't use TVJS. 8gb is not actually a barrier but I do run into problems as I use both Chrome and FF and try to run lean. TRNR beats the poop out of my system and it's memory limit, but so do browser tabs.

Pros:
