They also like to make their home inside your kid's sandbox, or construction toys or whatever. And in my garage if I don't stay on top of them. Not to mention the firewood pile. They adore that place.

I don't like them in my garage. No. I'm always rooting around in there for stuff. My pantry is in my garage.

I don't leave them alone. I kill the early in the year ones and then hardly see any the rest of the year. They probably spread the word to head to my neighbors' houses.

 

I worked on a farm for a long time. Black widows like the underside of watermelon so I was always nervous when I had to pick them. We actually did have a worker get bit but he was alright.

 

Black Widow bites are only deadly to small children and the elderly, so wait nvm @tricker go nuke all the black widows.

We have a lot of cellar spiders around here that like to hang about in the corners or whatever. They're harmless.

 

I'm in Virginia and come across brown recluse more often than black widows though.

 

Brown recluse spiders don't live in Virginia.

 

They can kill anyone if left untreated. It also depends where they bite you.
