    I remember the first time I had a tick. My mom was like don't panic but there's a tick on the back of your leg. And of course the don't panic freaks me out. She's freaked out. She puts nail polish, nail polish, remover, alcohol and Vaseline to try and suffocate it and still ends up having to call my aunt to come and get it off.

    Every time I've had a tick after that I've been much calmer thankfully. The only time I ever had issues was if the tick got on the dog particularly if it was near her eye. She went to the vet to have a few taken off cause they were in places I was scared to try and get it or she was being too fussy to let me get.

    Matt gets SO MAD because he attracts bugs a lot worse than I do. I like to think years of island breeding have made my people more bug resistant or something:emoji_joy:

    I did have him start taking b1 tho (well, when we lived and worked in the SE anyway), and it did seem to help him with the mosquitos.

    Nope, turned out to be a semi-neat bird called a 'chimney swift', and I'm praying they come back again this year because they absolutely help but they do not get everything.

    They also don't stay year round, and because we no longer get deep freezes the mosquitos do. Never in my life have I seen mosquitos in January before, I want to die.

    One time, I was hiding under the sheet and could hear one buzzing around looking for me. My husband came to bed and said he'd take one for the team, slept with no sheet or shirt. I woke up in the morning with a big old welt in the center of my forehead. :biblethump:
