02/21 - Threw Thursday!

I still have many of mine. They now make fantastic "Dammit, the dog peed on the carpet AGAIN!" rags. Those things, I kid not, literally wick the pee back up from the carpet.

They are still useful and my last baby will be 15 in May, lol.

I still have my Moby. I loved it so much, I won't get rid of it. I whip it out if I'm babysitting and want some nostalgia.

I carried my kid around in that until he was 2.5 years old. Came in handy when I was shopping, or doing anything and I needed to know he was safe, lol. It was this single mom's best friend.

 

Now I'm visualizing him trying to do the Moby wrapy
I never could get the hang of it. My husband had to set it up, but my son loved it.

 

The first few times I wrapped that thing I swore my kid would fall out, lol. But I got it figured out after watching their videos a few times and experimenting with a doll, lol.

I have a friend who works out with her kid strapped to her, and it's insanely impressive. Nothing that hurts the baby, obvs, but she's just being a badass and doing squats and stuff with a sleeping baby strapped to her chest. Also baby #2 and I think she's well into the "it'll be fineeee!" mentality Everytime I don't want to workout, I just remember that a mother of 2 is getting shit done with a human strapped to her chest and...then I sometimes still don't get off the couch, but I feel bad about it.

It isn't the easiest to learn that's for sure. But once you get it, you get it.

I nursed my kid for a long time so I liked that I could carry him facing out, facing in with his head secure if he fell asleep, or sling wise if he was feeding.

Those were pretty much the three wraps I used. Since it was just me, I had no choice cuz no one else could take him when I needed hands free!

I used the facing out wrap probably 80% of the time. My kid wanted to be carried as much as possible in that position until he was just flat out too heavy for my shoulders to handle him.

I kinda raised a mama's boy...as he won't show it in public as he's approaching 15 but he still likes to be near his mama when no one is looking (and he's not gaming or staring at YouTube), lol. Or making scarves...or jumping on his trampoline.

Okay, wait, maybe it's better than I thought...he's actually grown out of needing to be attached to me, lol!
