So for those who remember that I mentioned my aunt last week who has a mass growing around her aorta?

She does have one but the good news is it's the same type of cancer she had before so the oncologist says it's really treatable with chemo.

They did find two small spots of lung cancer, but it is also the type that is treatable with chemo. They will work on both cancers in the same time period.

So yay. While it's cancer, and no one likes that, it's the best news we could hope for so...maybe I don't have to act as executor of her trust any time soon.

Not a pitchfork, but I have done this with other tools...like a stabby metal rake.

The amount of injuries I've sustained from working outside are mind boggling. Just recently I used a wood saw to saw through my thumb nail about 3/4 of the way down my thumb. That was awesome.

 

I feel ya. I was holding a metal rail while a buddy was using a saws all and it bounced off the rail and landed in between my knuckles. Thankfully I still have all my fingers.

Yeah, saws are just great.

This was one of those moments where I did thank God that it wasn't worse than it turned out to be. I mean, one teeniest mm deeper and I would have been in the ER with some issues and unable to use my hand for a while. I just got freaking lucky. I cleaned it and kept super glue on it until the nail grew out, praying the whole time it didn't decide to rip a good 1/2 inch down from the tip of my thumb.
