the argument further goes on to say that work found by that small subset of workers who find the vast majority of original work and spread it among their similarly talented colleagues in small groups (some sort of Suri citation here) is done at much higher quality than once it's released out into the open among forums/mtc and heaven forbid reddit.

but to make that argument you'd need the data to prove it. would love comparative data quality tests on TV reviewed work and non TV reviewed work. and work released silently, versus work released w/posts to every forum + reddit

 

I find it hard to take that review seriously, everyone knows that forum member is a real ash hole.

I find it hard to take seriously as an example, since by the time you reviewed it the requester was already gone & hasn't been back since.

Which is the exact nature of batch projects on MTurk. If anyone is waiting on a forum post or review to do batch work, they're already fucked beyond saving.

 

Then there's requesters who release tiny test batches and are reviewed and then they post 10k+ hits and everyone knows about them now.

And there are ones who release tiny test batches that get reviewed by some slowpoke who spent 10 minutes reading the directions and has no clue what they're doing

You benefit as much as you lose if you're going to try and grasp at random anecdotes when I think it's fair to say most proficient workers don't share batches, so you mostly lose to the handful of booboos and "I'm gonna fucking troll RA to see him get all pissy since I already got mine out of the batch"

 

I have to agree with you. I don't know all the ins and outs of mturk and all the scripts available. But, even before I joined the forum I was making 30-40 bucks a day because I was willing to learn as I went along. (also why 49 of my rejections are from p9r ) If people will just keep their eyes open and pay attention, they're going to see more on the forum that will help them than what they realize at first anyway.

 

Cool but that rarely happens. It almost always is the other way around.

 

If this is the hit I think it is, the directions talk about the possibility of this happening and no worries. But I just got here, so...

I saw that - but it said hat initially I'll label 50 pics minimum - but if I do well - I'll get more, and if I do bad I won't get more.

 

Or you get a block that takes 2 years to get removed.
