    Yup. That's where a giant chunk of my money comes from. I work for the forest service and my main job is a biological technician-meaning I spray noxious weeds. But the last several summers, I've spent 3/4 of my summers on fires. There were big budget cuts to my department. I'll be on the phone trying to get transferred over to a full time firefighter but we'll see how that goes since other people are probably trying the same thing.
