Oh I was only half joking. People get confused over your $200 and $120 statements =D and every day it is explained lol.

 

fair. think everyone thinks there's some sort of magical trick to it. It used to be VRAPI everyday when VRAPI was good. currently it's nothing more than just working everything. time spent looking for hits is time wasted. Just power through everything. That was really about the only change ive made recently was retiring from VRAPI and focusing on surveys.

 

I personally need to be more open to some writing on higher paying hits. I throw back way too much.

 

i will say the one advantage i might have right now is my age demographic probably makes me a little more desirable.

 

How many SoundingBox hits do you have done?

 

As another calibrating value, I didn't have any qual'd work worth mentioning all week, and I wasn't able to start turking until after ~2 PM most days. Assuming today is a typical Saturday, I'm looking at a ~$400 week, which obviously isn't very good, but should give an idea of about how much (mostly) unqualified work worth doing there was this week.

Do you just power through everything like oldtimeturker said? I'm just over $120 for the week and I do 4-5 hours daily, that's why I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

 

An extra $400/week is actually really good, this guy is just weird. He's also one of those who does everything, even the underpaid work, though.

How long have you been turking?

 

Typically, my work schedule is such that I often have an opportunity to turk in the afternoon and evening at work, although it's difficult to really get into a groove doing any batches or longer surveys with shorter timers. Once I get home I go typically until 2:30 AM, because I unfortunately require at least 240 minutes of sleep to function.

it's rare i do underpaid work besides dick co and copytext. cuz i like dick and copytext is fun. i would not put up the numbers i do if i did underpaid work

 

Maybe 1 year but just doing a 1 hour or so a day. Now I can spend a bit more time.

 

I wonder if copytext will ever take on new people. I remember when I was new I did the "pre-qualification" HIT like 10 times over four months thinking there was some trick to it.
