    I joked with the MIL that she could always go for the “ perky tiddies of a 20 year old,” when recovery was all said and done, if she wanted a new pair. She cracked up, but Matt looked like he was gonna pass out.

    He is wildly insistent about sunscreen and mammograms now, tho. I’ve had to tell him about 50 times that I don’t need a mammogram at 28, but he remains unconvinced.

    MIL also made matt hug me for “ taking such good care of him and the family.” It was...disconcerting. This is when I knew shit was real.

    I’m glad it was “ easy” for your bff, as easy as cancer can be anyway. Hoping that’s how it goes for the mil. Life wouldn’t really be the same without her keeping me on my toes!
