could be worse, could be EA or Bethesda. Actually i dont hate Paradox other than the fact they make too many big changes so unless u play like every day you're learning the game over every time. looking at you stellaris

 

It's mostly because of the DLC thing that I dislike Paradox. You're basically locked out of 90% of content unless you buy like $200 worth of DLC or some ridiculous garbage like that.

That's exactly the game I was referring to. It's ridiculous that to get all the content for a game that's like 10 years old you have to pay so much. Like fold the older DLC packs together into one lower priced thing or something.

i made the mistake of buying the base game not realizing how much DLC there was. would have never purchased it if i had known. I really want to like the game, but holllllly shit its complicated.

I've been playing it on and off since before the first DLC was released. It's almost nuts how little content that just playing the base game has compared to dumping your entire paycheck on DLC.

 

i may get some of the DLC if there's like a ridiculous sale or something on it, but i just have the base sitting basically unplayed. Maybe its basically unplayable on its own.

oh imagine that a game in my steam library thats nearlyunplayed or unplayed....
