After spending some time in the r/hockey game thread for that Jets game the other day, Canadian politeness is something that only exists in the Eastern part of Canada. Those Central Canadians are whiny Grinches. Maybe it's because Winnipeg is a frozen shithole.

 

Exactly. I used to sell on Etsy when I had the bakery. The only thing we froze was the chocolate lasagna in a jar because of all the dairy product in it. But it was made that day, frozen overnight and shipped the next day. I always worry about buying food from places like that. Even though I was "one of those places" that sold food online.

 

I'm running low myself so I need to go there now

i was heavily into baking as a hobby before my dad died (then depression and losing all grip of everything i've ever enjoyed), and considered the etsy thing, until i saw so many established businesses on there already and chickened out. i probably saw sweet little tracy on etsy as my competition back then.

 

There isn't anything wrong with a product that has been flash frozen as I assume that they are doing here. The problem at home is that slow freezing in a home style freezer does a number on things.

Maybe...but I have a lot of contacts that went from Etsy to Amazon that sold food. They didn't flash freeze anything because they didn't have the equipment to do so. Even though it's nitrogen or dry ice and ethanol. I didn't want to mess with all that so I made stuff to order. It was better for my peace of mind.
