People choose to keep working on shit pay work instead of improving their workflows and trying to make more money.

 

All that time you've spent optimizing your workflow and paying the guy from Scrubs to spoonfeed you is time they've spent in college classes or waiting tables or whatever. Still think a good majority of them are very silly, though.

I just hate that every single article paints it as fake work. I tried to explain it to my family that this is what works and pays the bills well. Step mother googled it and just threw 3-4 things at me telling me I'm indoctrinated slave basically.

Because someone doing a 30 second Google search is an instant expert vs someone who's worked on the platform for actual years. Did you show her screenshots of your dash or would she accuse you of faking those too?

 

I make more money on mturk than either of my cousins and my brother do with 'real jobs'. Now I do want a normal job because mturk isn't forever but this hasn't been an awful gig.

 

Basically, the dude forgot to take their taxes out of their OT paychecks, which are cut seperately from their normal ones, for the ENTIRE YEAR. And then proceeded to just act like he hadn't forgotten.

So, that was pretty dumb.



And that's how you lose a cushy job with nice benefits!

 

She said having to do up to a thousand things a day somedays makes it too much work. I could make better pay at mcdonalds. It didn't matter that the day she looked at I made 160. Just that it took so many things to do it.
