The other one was a review for a different HIT by that same requester titled "Demographic Survey."

but being told I am a dumbass and a noob and to just make more money, and "figga it out" and "make more money" "nobody is going to spoonfeed you" advice works for me at least for motivation... but I had an Fd up childhood so that advice prolly doesn't motivate other people.

FWIW, people wouldn't get snarky if you didn't ask essentially the same questions over and over. After a certain point if people are giving you advice and you don't use it to help yourself, there's no actual helping you.

The requester had a good rating overall, and also, the supposed bonus was 0.20-3.20. And it's a pro because I only ACTIVELY worked for 12 minutes, not the whole 68, though I had to keep the tab open

Probably because @A6_Foul_Out did a demographics HIT while I did the full survey? If you're not sure about this, you can also try looking at the reviews on other platforms such as Turkopticon for other reviews of the requester.

hey, you came into this conversation saying how you can make just as much "interacting with real human people", then you doubled down on the condescending tone by saying "it's mturk, nobody cares." so, yeah, we're going to wonder why someone who pops in and out randomly, decided to pop in with some snark tonight.

first of all, the people making real income care that it's mturk. it's a huge feat to pull a $300 day, or $100, or some days, even $20. it's actual work. and it's not for lack of wanting to "interact with real human people", but sometimes life just goes this way, and that's okay. we all have different circumstances here and i really, really doubt any of them are out of desire to avoid a "real" job, as you insinuated (or, if that's the case, that's cool too!). i've had three jobs since starting mturk and it has been the most beneficial for me financially and personally, as well as the most reliable. there are people here who get to stay home with their kids every day, their sick loved ones, there are people who are physically disabled or mentally unwell, some people who got dealt a rough hand in life, and a million other things that brought us here.

but why don't we share? at the end of the day, it's commission, and we're each others' competitor. we form friendships (with "real human people"!) and share as coworkers and friends, but we're smart enough to not share with literally hundreds of people at any given moment. this forum MORE than spoonfeeds work and tools, we don't need to also explicitly take money out of our own pockets and give it to strangers who aren't actively looking for work.
