Most phone plans have a hotspot feature on them, however depending on the amount of streaming youll be doing, youd need unlimited data to make this a viable option. Just hit Craigslist and get any Netgear/Linksys wireless G or N router. They should be super cheap. N600 from Netgear is a reliable and very cheap(now) router.

 

I absolutely empathize with him just gunning people down in that video right now.

Does your ISP rent routers? If they do, it should be <$20 for a one month rental, and they might prorate on the early return.

Tethering and Hotspot are two different things. Tethering uses the phones actual data plan as if it were your phone using the data. You would just plug your phone into the laptop and enable USB Tethering in the settings. It may take a bit of time to set up properly(its been a while since ive done this option), but it works in a pinch. Dont expect screaming fast speeds since youre going to be limited by the USB throughput.

 

We don't have any control over the ISP since it's included, I ended up getting a $25 router off amazon that I'll just pop on Facebook marketplace and resell for the same price or a little higher maybe lol

Called Animal Control/the county fuzz over this puzzling bill I got, was very polite in asking why I got a bizarre bill for fixing and housing this feral cat- and they threatened me with a misdemeaor (for the second time, wtf lol) and basically repo-ing a feral cat should I not pay it, despite my never agreeing to this bullshit in the first place, nor them actually housing this cat at any point, and the fact I got two street cats who were not mine fixed and I'm basically being fined for it.
