I doubt that anyone else will have my connections that I needed to get stuff fixed but that hopefully won't be needed now that it isn't full bot drama time.

 

I know they have me in their collections due to a fraudulent charge over a year ago. I filed a report on the charge with Amazon and they told me to go through my bank. I did and got paperwork to prove it was fraudulent and then this year found out Amazon never canceled the charge despite saying they would. They told me they don't have any record of me calling them last year about it. I sent them the documents from my bank and my bank statement as well and they told me it wasn't enough proof to get the charges dropped. This was back in January when I found out I was in their collections. I'm guessing this could be the reason but I'm not in a position where I can pay that charge off, even if I wanted to.

 

Only 68 here. :-( Don't think I noticed them when they dropped. I have a second job now that I do at work that takes up a lot of time so I can't watch mturk like a hawk anymore.

Come to think of it, I was suspended once in 2017, however it had something to do with the servers on amazons's side. I actually spoke to a live rep at that time. It took me an hour of being on hold, but I did. Youd imagine there would be a number for people to call for issues like this, but then you have to imagine all the scrubs using that number to ask about rejections, quals, requesters, etc.

 

Thanks for the post! I just emailed Martin. ...... It seems to me that maybe there was a bug in the survey because the survey ended very abruptly without any demographics page or debrief. Then there was no survey code. So maybe this is why it shows the survey time being too quick. Just a thought.

There used to be a support line for mturk but it was removed. Now we just get to call the standard amazon phone support line.

 

That sounds like a total headache.

From everything I read, you need to be really vigilant. Talk to as many people as you can. Get fax numbers. Get any contact info available. Be persistent and be a pest.

Great the last half of these amazon requester's have no audio. Worked the first half and now total silence. Waste of time and money.

 

@ChrisTurk any idea what's going on with turkerview? I can't review and none of the TV options are on the mechanical turk. the TV website seems to work fine for me though. I see my APi key there but something weird is going on on mechanical turk itself.

 

When I saw all three people who did the survey were rejected for the same thing, I figured something was up. He was pretty rough at first towards me and my complaint, but then the final email was the one you saw in which he admitted fault. lol. I even told him I would redo the entire survey and reeeeeaaally take my time to see if the issue persisted to prove that I was hopefully right.

 

Gonna need more than "something weird" to answer this for sure..

 

I have an entire closet dedicated to the two giant boxes of cat litter (One has a top, one doesn't, cause...cat things) and a litter genie and one of those air things that sucks out the smell. It's also next to the front door, so that's super helpful. It's basically a running gag that we never tell people the coat closet is the shitter closet the first time they come over, cause half of them try and put their coats in without asking me and see a giant tub of litter instead when they open the door We also like to play, "where do the cats even poop?" cause occasionally people come over and cannot figure out where all my cats are going to do their business.

 

Dammit Chris. Its just doing that weird thing sometimes and being a little funny occasionally! figure it out!
