@Tracy Wethington It's not perfect by a long shot, but I think it's pretty charming and the colors came out well. Certainly better than yesterday! I think it'll make a fine cookie card, at the very least.

Give me a few months and maybe I'll be writing full, legible words I'm most excited that I was able to eyeball the right color when I was making my frosting- was going for a tiffany blue-esque swirl for my base, since it's an engagement cookie. I wanted to tear my own hair out the whole time with this mess. Buttercream is just sooooo much easier to work with. Royal icing is the freaking devilllll. I'm going back to my pastry cave now, to do something I'm comfortable with.

That looks good to me! You'll get better and better. THIS IS NOT A CRITICISM, but it looks like on the top right of the y on the right wasn't one fluid motion was it? That was ALWAYS my problem. My wrist wouldn't let me do one fluid motion cause I always had to turn my hand since the wrist doesn't twist.
