I had a doggo for that! My old building had a mouse problem for awhile and Felix was promptly on the job. He was very proud of himself and I had to wrestle mice away from him.

Everything I've ever read suggests if you move them far enough away from your house to not be able to find their way back they die anyway.. slowly & painfully because they're too dumb to find food/water or horribly at the hands of w/e thing their dumb little feet scurry themselves into

Good doggo. I didn't want to do it but I can't have mice running around my house. I also refuse to put poison out because of the dogs and other animals. I guess I just viewed a cat as the circle of life. If you are dumb enough to come out here where they can see you, well..... I also put mint out everywhere because I read that the mice hate mint, not sure how accurate that is. Never had a mouse, that I saw anyhow, before moving to small town IA. Gotta love rural living :/

 

The important thing is that if they die away from your house you don't have to deal with a rotting corpse etc
