I'm happy that so many of you have the luxury of your dignity.

Me... I've worked for terrible pay hits, because I like having a roof over my head, and more low quality food to keep me fat and unhealthy. Well, like might not be the right word, but it's what I know.

I'm somewhat lazy; it's why I script. But, I'll do trash hits. Sometimes. My line usually is when I've done a hit and it's reposted with twice the work for half the pay: even I nope out of A9s. But, if I were desperate enough? I'd be all over them. AMT is my only income.

It's pretty [hilarious/bullshit/lacking of awareness] for people who actually have other jobs and dabble in AMT to comment on people doing the $2/hr type tasks. It's awesome that you can cherry-pick and not hassle with trash. My apt manager, on the other hand, doesn't care whether it took me 100 hours or 400 hours to make the rent, and as a responsible adult [... Lannister] who pays his debts, and as someone who can't function in society, I thank Bezos for every crappy penny the good AMT gives me the opportunity to make mine.

It's absolutely hilarious seeing liberal researchers publishing papers on social inequality paying slave wages, as well as the hypocrisy of people who are opposed to "building a wall" because gosh darn it, those illegal immigrants are our friends! but then who rally against the "international" workers on mturk.

That is, the hypocrisy show is great, because I damn sure can't afford cable.

In a more perfect world, no one would do trash hits, so requesters would be forced to pay something reasonable, but we don't live in that world. We live in the timeline where it's a race to the bottom.

People demanding a minimum wage amount, or a universal income, or other entitlements, are truly the worst. They don't seem to get the world doesn't owe them shit. AMT is an amazing thing for some of us who would literally be [a troll] living under a bridge otherwise. For those of you who aren't, and can happily say "Not today!" to any work under $20/hr or whatever? Be grateful for the circumstances, choices and/or luck which has put you into such a blessed position.

Personally, I'm really thankful that I am living in an apartment and not like, a one car garage, where any time now someone might call the cops on me because my poverty and desperation, combined with my limited emotional intelligence and tenuous ability to properly channel my anger often results in loud disagreements with family members.
