I've rented through Turo several times and it's worked out well.

 

How does that work? How on earth do you verify you have insurance / a license / some way of paying off the car if you just haul ass off w/ it to Canada?

 

See so many Uber stories of drunk passengers puking in the car and stuff.. now I'm just imaging those drunk ass passengers DRIVING instead lol

Forreal though you KNOW the company itself is going to throw up their hands and be all MTurk "yeah we don't get involved in that sorry" at the slightest hint of ickiness lol

 

It's seriously not their fault if your car gets jacked, though. There's probably even a bit about that in their ToS.

 

I can't remember what all I had to do, but I think I had to send a pic of my license and myself, probably insurance card as well. It was a few years ago.

If you puke in an uber they charge you a cleanup fee. I assume that any reasonable car share service has the same thing.

 

A cleanup fee is what, 100-200 bucks? Even some college starter CC can handle that.

A CAR is probably 10k+ for anything you're allowed to actually list on an app. That's a huuuuuge difference lol

 

A starter college credit line is 4k +
