I never said you were wasting time, but that it might or would be for RA to do so. Look man, I'm not fighting you. If you like prolific, keep at it. If it's worth it for you, good. I was just saying it may not be worth it for everyone.

 

I like Prolific because Jim keeps emailing me begging me to do work for him.

I like feeling wanted. Makes me feel special.

I use a script to notify me when a survey appears on Prolific. So, when I see the notification, and if I'm not too busy on MTurk, then I switch tabs and either do the Prolific survey or not. I don't understand how this is "wasted time".

When the money is good (like the easy five-minute survey I just did a few minutes ago for $1.42), I can't complain about Prolific. The platform has its flaws; I understand that; but easy money is easy money, I don't care whether it comes from MTurk or Prolific or wherever.

Admittedly I don't have any "platform loyalty" and I'm not here to cheerlead for or against MTurk or Prolific or any platform. ... I'm just sharing the reasons why I currently like Prolific. (NOT to say I like it "more than" MTurk.) Yes I spend far more time on MTurk than Prolific; but when my script pops an alert for a Prolific survey then I'll check it out if I'm not too busy at the time.

 

Because the hourly is lower than what you could be doing on mturk.

Why do you hate money?

 

"! But to RA the time and effort of swapping sites to gain that 10$ a week is just wasted time." You just keep cutting out the first part of that sentence and I don't know why. I've said it like 3-4 times now. Keep doing you and if it's not wasted to you, good. I'm not certain how many more ways I can word the same thing over and over again and really I'm wasting my time replying now.
