As I said, I "felt sure" of my responses — but at length I was told
that I failed some unspecified AC somewhere, even though I'd
tried to be careful at every step.

So yeah, somewhere I must've failed an AC. That's on me. I admit that.

My point was (as I said) "Just be careful with this [HIT]." —
Perhaps that may sound like a criticism of the HIT, but that's not how I meant it.
