03/31 - Fabulous Friday!

I did it several months back and only a few people participated. I just made sure to post everyday, send "Hi how are you" messages to people once a day and do the assessments. Still earned a pretty nice bonus.

 

Felt like I was gonna die halfway through my workout and this sick jam came on my playlist, second wind achieved! Get crunk with me bros!

That code is months old and awful so don't feel bad lol. I wouldn't be surprised if Kada came by later today and quoted it down to 4-5 lines lol, but I'm not really interested in perfecting it since its fine as-is and (was) just for my personal use.

"I'm not an expert" isn't an excuse for screwing up someone's dataset when a keybind is equally (if not more) efficient to auto-selecting answers so I really don't understand your point in relation to my post. It doesn't matter if you are good at predicting stocks or not, it only matters that we as a community aren't butchering a requester's dataset from the get-go by enabling dozens (hundreds?) of workers to skew their answers.

Trying to guess what reqs do with the dataset is kind of off base too. What if he throws out anything that is remotely close to 50/50 and only makes judgments based on heavily favored data from workers (ie, 80% of us predict stock X will go down)? If we're all auto-selecting down on a particular stock, and it takes more time/effort to change that answer than it would otherwise w/o the script, we're totally screwing this guy and just inviting him to dump the data (and thus the platform, and thus the "free" $4/day).

Neither of us know if we're correct in this specific instance, but from the time I've spent looking at it I think the likelihood of workers submitting more bad data through "default" answers is higher than keybinding answers because the incentive to be "lazy" is higher in the default answer script. There will be some workers who abuse keybinds and just downvote everything, right? Of course. But again its about #s over large sample sizes.There are even workers who look to combat the appearance of giving the default answer by skewing their data away from it, which is just as bad for the req.

You can do whatever you want and think however you want, I'm just giving advice to look out for both sides since given our options (default answers vs keybinds) we can help requesters without hurting our efficiency in many cases.

That's basically all it is. Saying too much would breach the not sharing survey/research content thing.

 

I returned mine as well. I got to go to an appointment. Half hour drive to get there. So have funs with the jiggles . lol.
