My dad drunk texted me that he resents me for being born and thinks he failed as a father because he hated me for existing. When he sobered up and tried to talk to me, I told him I wasn't interested in talking to someone who resented my life and he told me to "watch how you talk to your father." We haven't spoken since. Before that, he told me that I was "less of a woman," and "he didn't respect me" for letting my ex husband beat me. Oh, and my poor health is too stressful for him to care. Nice guy! Just cause someone is your "family," doesn't mean you have to accept poor treatment or force yourself to deal with them. You deserve love and respect and not emotional abuse!

I think that's the hard part. I was always taught to just accept family because we already had a large family fracture where my dad doesn't talk to his brother at all for some bullshit reason. Maybe that family fracture is there for a reason.
Also holy shit, what a lovely person. That's some fucking rough shit right there.

He refuses to see that I'm antisocial and keeps trying to tell me to 'live life or you'll regret it later' because I didn't do sorority and bar scenes.

This is the most important part tbh. I can count my blood family on less than one hand, so it's a small pool already, and every single one of them are involved in things I choose to stay far away from, or are manipulative and abusive. Family is important, but family is also a choice. It's not worth hurting yourself mentally or emotionally or whatever for. I'll be your cool new cousin Jess.
