    My wife and I started dating in early 2012 (I had gotten out of a relationship with my first girlfriend/fiance of almost 10 years) and we became "official" on St Patrick's day/my birthday. We were married on Halloween of 2012.


    We sill act exactly the same so...I think the honeymoon phase thing is just an excuse for people to validate themselves. A few minor things will change as the relationship goes on but I mean I haven't noticed any major changes in any aspect of our relationship honestly.

    Or maybe I'm a freak? This is also a very high possibility.

    I feel like a lot of the honey moon phase things are people who put on a good face for the SO at the time and you can't keep up a good fake face forever. I never lied to my husband about being a little sperdo with a lot of problems. He accepted that and we haven't had a problem lmao

    If anything, we’ve only gotten more playful, so to speak, because the thing that has changed is that we’re way more comfortable with each other. And thus, we act 10 shades more crazy together.

    Also, the implication was that we’re not married, and thus our five years doesn’t count as much. Which, eye roll to that!

    It’s always entirely possible that we’re all freaks, but it seems more fun on the freak side of things!
