    Honestly having a pet pig for years taught me to be more mindful. I fed her at the start like I did my other animals and she gained a ton of weight and was obviously unhealthy/wheezing because she was freaking huge. Pigs eat basically non stop and I always felt like I was starving her or I was just a jerk when I wouldn't feed her.

    Luckily the breeder was super helpful and said lots of people do it because pigs can sound freaking sad if you don't give them what they want. It took like 4 months but we got her back down to healthy pig size. After that, I'm way more mindful of feeding my dog. Thankfully he's healthy and playful.


    Just usually lazy. Like, do something dog! Go...do dog stuff stop laying under my desk.

    Yeah, his stomach is puffed out from steriods and air intake. So, not super cute. I'm super careful with his food, cause steriods put him at a higher risk for feline diabetes and I'm certainly not gonna up his risk by over feeding him.

    She passed away a few years ago sadly (she was a rescue that someone dropped back off at the breeder and we adopted her) but I have a blurry one I have saved somewhere. Let me find it.

    All my vets have really really stressed that a healthy weight is really important for cats with asthma, cause obesity makes them worse. I do not fuck around with Bearnie's weight because of this. He gained a pound from stealing food and he's on a diet until we lose that pound (he's already dropped some), cause I intend to keep him as healthy as possible with his bad lungs. Boy can whine all he wants, I'm not gonna let him eat himself to death :emoji_sweat_smile:

    This was taken during the fall (when it's actually cool here). I let her outside to do pig stuff and she wasn't coming inside when I was calling her. I found out that she had been conquered by a cat.

    I took this out of one of my windows with a bad quality phone so..sorry for quality.
