I think it's funny that "asking for your email" is the supposed issue here that lead to an account ban. Plenty of surveys out there ask for your email to be contacted for more studies, and while I don't fill them out typically I see these studies all. the. time.

 

TIL Amazon actually cares about their terms of service sometimes.

 

They only care about it if people report the hit and only if they aren't whitelisted. Yes there is a mturk whitelist that makes rules not apply to accounts.

Anyways people reported their account because they had tons of issues with broken hits and that makes people rage and want to retaliate in way possible.

 

they really are the king of broken HITs, but they seem pretty darn good about communication when they screw up, unlike many requesters around.
