I gotta quit trying and failing to get into time-limited "user testing" hits, where you have like one minute to talk in detail about a site or an app you've never seen before.

Those very popular hits are great for quick thinkers who enjoy giving spontaneous immediate feedback while rapidly exploring a totally unfamiliar site or app on a one-minute time limit.

Those hits are definitely not for me.
I always mess up because I'm slow and inarticulate. I'll waste precious seconds (out of my one minute) stammering and struggling for words while rushing to explore the test target. On my first try I usually sound like an idiot. Understandably, do-overs are disallowed, because the requester wants only spontaneous feedback (which is exactly what I'm not good at).

In one case, the test target was a buggy app, and I wasted 15 seconds (25% of my ONE minute) figuring out how to get around an input-validation bug that was blocking my progress. — Finally I figured out how to circumvent the bug, and then had to hurry up and rapidly navigate the rest of the test app while simultaneously talking about it as fast as possible.

If you mess up on your first try, you're SOL, because do-overs are disallowed. If you try for a do-over, it says NOPE you have to return the hit. That of course is understandable, because the requester wants spontaneous feedback, not do-overs.

I'm glad people love those HITs, and I'm sure the requester is great, and it's cool to see user-testing hits so frequently available for those who are good at them. ... I just happen to be very NOT good at them, so yeah, I think I'll avoid these hits from now on.

although they're lucrative, i haven't been able to get comfortable with doing them either. different strokes for different folks and all that. half of this job is finding out your strengths to know what to do and what to skip, and rambling open-endedly at a recording isn't for me either.
