Just want to say I appreciate your musical posts the last couple of days.

 

i remember the old days of mturk... 2015ish... on MTG. We'd all talk about batches endlessly out on the open plains of the forum... Henry, Viral Mturk, Society6, Peter Burke We'd even post a list of the requesters we worked for via @Kadauchi 's script.

it was a simpler time. before our innocence was taken away. before we all needed hookers and vodka just to get to sleep.

meh just woke up 4 hours ago but i think it's time for a nap.

 

38 new members have joined the slack channel since last night. Previously they had 193 members. Maybe my math is wrong but isn't that about 20% more people? I wonder how long until my earnings start to plummet.

 

honestly, that was fun back then. it was really nice to feel that sense of camaraderie, community, and an actual work environment. but that was because there was an abundance of work for, like, a third of what the mturk community population is like now. now it's more like, pick 1-2 people to share with and trust, and beat everyone else up for the nickel they tried picking up on the sidewalk because you saw it first.

i have 3 side jobs and mturk is still 90% my livelihood. i'm all about community, and less about "here you go, you can figure out how to complete this listing quicker, i don't need to pay my rent this month."

 

they said over 70 people got the qual.

 

For real? So, basically, the doable HITs will go even faster, the rest will sit there like usual.

 

The qual test was ridiculously easy this time.
