    depends how mucked up the carb is. If the engine starts, but slowly stops after being primed, you got a clog in your carb that seafoam wont be able to fix. Youd have to take the bottom part of the carb off and clean the needle with a pin. If the engines just run lean on full throttle and starts to die until you lower the throttle, it could be a partial clog on the high needle which seafoam may work for. If its just to keep the carb clean and oil out of places it shouldnt be, seafoam once a year should be fine in the right amounts as long as you mix it with the proper parts oil.

    the engine runs like a champ, just thinking of using an additive for the long run to keep it in good shape. Most of the gas around here is 10 percent ethanol which apparently gunks up quickly.

    I've used seafoam in my four strokes like my bikes seems to keep the valves from sticking. I also winter them and open the carb bowls and clean 'em up in the spring. Usually the two stroke oil keeps the gas pretty stable I also only use the premium ethanol free stuff for my small engines. Keeps them from gumming up. What is carb on? I'm guessing like a weed eater or chainsaw?
