Pretty sure we all know by now that masters isn't granted based on merit, and never has been. If it were, most people wouldn't have it.

 

Prime example of someone who had enough RNG to get his worker ID pulled out of the "who gets masters this year" hat right here.

 

Yep those captchas were a Grinch for the two years I had to do them.

well you see there is a significant difference between the University of Toronto and most universities, they have REBs and not IRBs, so you can't really blame them

 

Honestly though I can't think of another academic requester who went this route lol.. I like it, bold. Little salty, but bold.

 

would be curious to hear from a researcher who is rejecting obviously garbage work w/the OK from the irb

 

How long were most of you turking before you got masters?

 

they sprinkled in some other interesting layers too, like account name changes, fluctuating pay rates, and changing qualifications

 

Ehh, 40% is really high for decent quals..idk what the task is though doesn't look like an actual survey where they just need english brains not functional ones

This is my favorite Amazon requester.

 

As @morweeg likes to point out there's really no rhyme or reason to the issuance of the Masters qual. Some people received it within one or two years, and some after years of slaving to the captcha demons still have not gotten it.

Regardless of what black magic or virgin sacrifice is required some are appreciative, some salty, and some just keep on turking either way.
