Nah just dip your foot in ice water for 10min, then hot water for 10min and cycle through them for 1-2h while watching the tv and it'll be fine.

 

This happened two days ago and it hasn't gone down at all I've iced it, elevated it...the whole nine yards.

hmm in that case maybe... Last time I had something like that I did these cold/hot foot baths for a couple hours while gaming and it went away so that's usually my recommendation.

Mine too...but people keep telling me to go to the doctor... @jessers >.> so I'm thinking I better listen. I tried the brace and the crutch. Not sure what else they could do for me though...

 

Oh my god, I'm inheriting a 27 year old aloe plant that's been severely neglected in a random window. This fucking thing is older then I am and is the leggiest aloe I've ever seen. I'm hoping I can transplant and separate the babies and hope that everything goes well. I'm so nervous!

 

Definitely rotate ice on/off every 10-15 minutes and keep it elevated, but yeah - I'd say see the doctor just in case if it's been 2 days and it's still that swollen

Yes. Go. I sprained my ankle the worst way possible once. The doctor called it "a career ending injury for athletes". I hurt it on a Saturday, didn't go to doctor, and on Sunday I had plans to meet my oldest son in San Francisco to spend the day together before he left for college across the country so it was important to me that I see him. I did get some crutches, switched from San Francisco to San Jose and hung out with him Sunday.

Finally went to the doctor on Monday and got an earful on how damn lucky I am I didn't hurt it way worse.

it was an extremely bad sprain, and I needed first a full "boot" and a few other things, then a "soft" boot.

Took over a year for it to stop hurting. I bought an ankle support sock that I wore for the next two years if I was hiking or something because I was told I could easily injure it again if I wasn't careful.

All of that is to scare you into getting to a doctor! If I had gotten a boot faster and not limped around on it out on the town on Sunday, it might have healed better because I kept adding more injury to the initial one if that makes sense?
