Man... just have to say I'm pretty sad. Just found out the last video rental store in town is closing. Last one for at least 20 miles. Kids today don't know the wonder of going into your rental store and checking out the backs of all the VHS tapes to see what movies were about because you could not look them up online. Discovering a new game rental because you didn't see it in your Nintendo Power magazine so you have no idea what it was! Those were the days.... yes I'm old

I super miss video stores. I loved going on a Friday and grabbing a huge stack to get through the weekend. Browsing, reading about movies you never knew existed. Sure, I still do that with streaming, but it's not the same.

I still have my old Blockbuster card. I'll never get rid of it.

I remember when I was around 8 or 9 I got brave enough to go check out the back of movies in the horror section. Some of that shit scared me bad enough to never want to watch it but man was it cool.

I grew up in a tiny town that didn't have a real video store, but the drug store had a video rental section.

 

I remember when video stores that were local (not a chain) still had curtained off sections. Boy did us kids want to go behind those curtains and see what was what!

 

I somehow was able to spend what now seems like a ridiculous amount of time browsing around the store before picking out a couple of movies in Blockbuster.

 

So Remesh went all down the Masters qual road? That's a bummer.
