This person actually had a sweet setup for the snake. It was a huge glass and wooden cage. At first we thought he just left us the gigantic cage to deal with. Which was dumb because who takes the huge snake and not the cage?

It took us about five minutes of being in the house to notice the huge snake. I'm pretty sure I screamed. Loudly.

Same house left us a dog, too, but that was easier to deal with. Our animal rescue is pretty good at rescuing dogs, and our shelter is a low kill shelter. They work with the pittie rescues to have them come get pits that don't get adopted fast enough to avoid having to kill as many.

Kiddo and I get all our animals from shelters (or from them just showing the eff up at our house!) to help reduce how often our shelters have to kill. They try so hard not to kill, but as a landlord here I know how many animals are abandoned/not fixed so they can't have babies. They don't have a choice because people are truly shitty animal owners. Pit bulls are the number one abandoned animal I have to deal with.

Since @Buntastic managed to bathe a weird snake cat, I decided to stop putting off Scrag man's bath. Dude was filthy. Does he...does he look mad?

 

How come hers looks all friendly and playful and yours looks a tad upset? I would sleep with one eye open if I were you.

I have set the cat snake up with a huge play area in the office, complete with litterbox, toys, food, water. There is definitely enough room for another cat snake. Wouldn't want him to get lonely. May look for a friend after his vet visit Monday.
(Spay/neuter your pets people, even the odd looking ones. And vaccines matter, do the pokey)
