08/10 - Sweet Saturday!

This is a pretty good telling of the story....this guy (the YouTuber) is a Bengals fan, so it's kinda cool to see a division rival's fan rooting for the kid to succeed:

 

I wish STL still had NFL, we might get MLS though. I did watch my first cardinals game recently since a vendor gave us box seats and that was fun to watch (8-0 against the Cubs) so I might get into baseball as my hockey offseason sport to watch

Frog tape, and run a wet finger or rage over the edge of the tape before you start. It will create the film barrier that Frog Tape is known for. If making stripes, paint across the tape with the color that is under the tape first. Let it dry, and then paint the color you want it to be. This way if there is any bleed under the tape, its the correct color and you would have no idea.

I have crank out windows with metal frame, and each window has about 9-12 individual panes of glass with metal frame that needs painting separating them all. Therefore, I'm not taping off shit, because that would take FOREVER. I bought a set of Crayola paintbrushes (the big ones about 1/2" thick brush) and used them to paint very carefully, and a damp rag to wipe of anything that I accidentally brushed on the window or on the wall.

I had to crank them open to get all the metal (and to make sure I didn't let the paint dry them shut).

Also, for the next four (big) windows, I'm paying my 15 year old to paint them. That's another good way, lol.

 

Totally true! Saw the preseason game/return and couldn't believe the story. It's really impressive. Read he just ran into Morgan Burnett at the airport who he didn't know and now is his roommate! Hope he picks his brain and makes the 53. He'll be fun to watch.

The Browns have some storied history with return specialists (Josh Cribbs, Eric Metcalf - although he was a solid RB then WR toward the end of his career), so I'm really hoping that there's a spot on the roster for him at the end of the preseason. He's definitely become a fan favorite here for obvious reasons.

 

Imagine doing all that just to end up playing for the Browns.

 

Yeah...must be awful to go to what a lot of people are talking to be a Super Bowl contender this year

The contractors spent five days on my house (most was prep, as the people who owned this home before me delayed some maintenance...)

We decided ahead of time to have them not paint the insides of the windows, which would have added a sixth day. They did the outside frame and sills, but Kiddo and I are painting the inside parts.

However, my contractor had a little time left on his last day here, so painted a little bit more for me. There's more to do, but less than I thought. And Kiddo is happy to have a way to make some money so he can buy more video games. Plus, he's way, way cheaper than the contractor!

We just have to get it done before I hang up decorations. End of September can't come fast enough!!!

 

Browns aren't my division rivals so I usually root for them. I have to admit that it should be really fun to watch OBJ and Mayfield this season.

We have a second year QB who's starting off right where he left off (which was breaking Manning's rookie TD record in just 13.5 games) and has now been given OBJ and Kareem Hunt (later in the season)....and the defense looks scary AF - Ward is already coming out as one of the top CBs in the league, Myles Garrett is even scarier than he was last year....oh, and opposing OLs now have to deal with Olivier Vernon & Sheldon Richardson as well, so they can't just constantly double up on him....and Greedy Williams looks like he could be an upper-echelon CB...and Mack Wilson might turn out to be a superstar...etc. etc. etc.

Don't know if I'd go that far, but they have definitely made more moves than the Bengals, Steelers and Ravens so who knows.

 

I'm not even necessarily talking about fans. I'm talking about national media, etc.
