Trolli Brite Crawlers were my go-to snack for a long time. Then I tried to be all healthy and shit..

    Gummy snacks are the best.

Reminder: Do not put in the name of these snacks into Google without "gummy" or "candy" afterwards... Too early for that...

I think I'm gonna take a personal day myself. Worked on the brakes all day yesterday, now it won't start. Still haven't seen The Lady Amanda™ since she was moved to rehab 2 days ago - might just take a bus tomorrow, whether she wants me to or not. She got an MS diagnosis, which on the surface seems bad (and kind of is), but I'm taking the stance that it really explains a LOT of the things she was being treated for over the last few years, which gives me hope that with a proper diagnosis, we'll be able to get her some treatments that are more suited to MS, and not just trying to deal with the symptoms of what we thought the problem was. I'm not trying to pretend to understand what YOU go through, but I do have the perspective of someone from the other side, who is involved with someone who has chronic illness.

So yeah, a bit stressed; will do little bits of Turk here and there, but I'm mostly "out" for the day. :)

Stay strong bro! Hopefully you can feel some hug-age coming your way from down south. If you ever need support, there's a few of us with chronic illness here (myself included) who would be happy to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on.

That's so darn sweet. Your best friend is lucky to have such a supportive friend! Sleeping can be really hard for most people with PTSD--the nightmares and the stuff we push down from our conscious brains can't help but come up. I've spent most of my life terrified of sleeping for that reason, and it's always really nice when there's someone there to soothe. I wish I had friends like you! :D

I agree darling! You don't know how happy it makes me to see you shine so bright in the midst of this nonsense. You always seem so happy and wanting to put a smile on everyone's faces. Glad it's not conquering you either. :D

Hope you get to go see your love and give her some love! Chronic illness is no joke--my mom has fibro and it's been a struggle in the last few years as she learned to get a handle on it. The first step (and sometimes the hardest IMO when it comes to long-term health issues) is the proper diagnosis, and thankfully you got that part down! It's great that she has someone who will support her and love her. Sending good vibes to you and your Lady!

Hang in there. My mother was diagnosed with MS several years ago (around the age of 60) and as you mentioned, it explained a lot of things that had been going on through her life, health wise. It helped a lot once she got a really good neurologist and they started treating the MS and not just the symptoms.

Find out if they've done a B12 test on her. Chronic low B12 can cause many of the same sympotms as MS. But, I'm guessing they've done brain/spine scans and found lesions which then really points to MS. Just a thought as it was really difficult for them to finally come to the MS diagnosis and they thought it was B12 deficiency alone since hers was so low. But if it's both like in her case they'll want to get the B12 back up which will help with some symptoms too.

Take care, we've got both of you in our thoughts.
