Uh ok mine doesn't look like that, does this mean that I should be waiting or am I ok to move money?

 

Its resolved now I think, since the payments are all resolved. This was an issue that happened last Thursday in the morning that got resolved later in the afternoon.

 

Ok, I haven't moved money in like a week because of all of this business.

From what I've seen, some people are reading it as eating the loss and others think it means we'll have to work off the negative. I'm leaning toward the "eating the loss" side, but I'm not putting anything in Payments until they send out the follow-up email.

 

It's good practice to move it frequently to Amazon payments if you don't already. If you want to test the waters, move 5 bucks over. Wait a day. Check payments. Withdraw the 5 bucks to you bank. Check the next day. If it all goes according to plan, you should be good. HOWEVER, since they state they are now working on Amazon Payments, this is scary in itself so your money may be best saved on turk for now until you get confirmation from Amazon and likely one of us when it gets resolved. Yall will be knowing when my balance goes back to zero! lol (if)

 

I read it as eat a loss since I am pretty sure Amazon Payments is used by all Amazon Merchants(correct me if I am wrong) and thus this affected a much larger user base than what we use it for. A large chunk of sales flow through independent contracts on Amazon, so in order to preserve face, eating a loss may be in thier best interest.

 

As much as it is killing me to have money sitting in mturk I'm waiting for the follow up email. I have enough to cover the negative balance if they want us to work it off. It does seem to be that it will be written off but I'm going to be cautious.

 

You're right on that. I take it as a loss just because, if it weren’t, there would be nothing left to fix. Leave the negative balances as they are and have people work them off and eat the loss for those who can't/won't. I assume the portion that still needs to be fixed is setting the balances back to 0 or 0+whatever you've deposited since but .

I just don't trust that they won't screw something else up between now and then trying to "fix" it. I'd rather wait and risk keeping it in turk.

Today is the day I'm going to try to kick my soda habit. It's going to be one rough road....

 

I feel your pain! I'm trying to do the same.

 

Go buy caffiene pills(if its the caffeine you crave) and buy flavored seltzer water. 99c at any store. Best part is, you get your water in for the day!

 

All that stuff is just a bandaid. I'm gonna go cold turkey and only water from now on. I did it years ago and made it 3 months. Had one soda from the fountain at a movie theatre and it killed it. Just need to learn to not cave. That stuff eats your insides and I drink diet which is even worse so I can't imagine what mine look like
